The Story
Ashley E Norton began her musical journey in the Arizona music scene with folk-rock band Delcoa, laying the groundwork for her dynamic career in roots music. In 2010, she moved to Nashville to pursue her passion for Country music, hosting successful songwriter nights and immersing herself in the city's rich musical landscape.
In 2024, Norton released her critically acclaimed solo album 'Call of the Void', produced by Johnny Garcia (guitarist for Garth Brooks/Trisha Yearwood). The album sat at #20 on the Euro Americana charts for two months and received multiple 'best of 2024' accolades, including being a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. The album blends Americana with elements of Country, Folk, Rock, and Blues, featuring a unique Led Zeppelin cover and showcasing Norton's songwriting prowess.
Beyond her solo work, Norton leads multiple musical projects, including the all-female Americana band Dolly's Revenge, the high-energy rock band Ash & The Mondays, and the all-female Songwriter showcase 'Songbirds'. She previously toured extensively with her folk duo Whitherward, completing successful national and European tours over six years. Her collaborative spirit is evident in her appearances on tracks with artists like Steven Tally and her involvement in various musical collectives.
Recognized as Ramona's 'Citizen of the Year' and a cover artist for San Diego's top music magazine 'The Troubadour', Norton has established herself as a multifaceted musical force. With endorsements from Subaru Europe, Martin Guitars, Avian Guitars, and Electro-Voice, she continues to push musical boundaries. Known for her dynamic performances – often singing atop tables, bars, or anywhere her wireless mic can reach – Norton brings an unparalleled energy to her music, accompanied by her singing dog Garfunkel, who she playfully calls the real star of the show.
