The Story
Travis Ross had a vision to turn Ramona into a music town, inspired by a transformative trip to New Orleans where he saw music everywhere. He sees the local music scene as a collaborative effort among musicians, businesses, and patrons.
Since 2019, Dirty Confetti has been providing musical entertainment across Southern California, earning recognition as the Best New Country Band/Adult by the West Coast Country Music Association. The band performs a mix of classic and contemporary country hits, featuring original compositions by lead guitarist Travis Billy Ross, known as 'Velvis' for his distinctive vocal style.
Ross is deeply involved in the Ramona Music Alliance (RMA), a collaborative organization that supports local musicians, encourages live music venues, helps build audiences, and shares resources. This stems from an idea he and fellow musician Jon Hasz had back in 2008 to transform Ramona into a vibrant music town.
Ross is a prominent figure in the local music community, contributing to collaborative projects like the 'Our Ramona' compilation albums, which feature original songs by local musicians celebrating their hometown. He has been part of multiple volumes of this community-driven musical project alongside other local artists.
